Buying blocks of developer time is a great addition to our WordPress website maintenance plan.
It ensures that as well as backing up and updating your site on a regular basis, we’ll also have time to work on any amends you need or to update with any new features you’d like the site to have.
We’re happy to tackle any bespoke WordPress development work and would be happy to give you an estimate of how much time we’ll need prior to starting.
Alternatively, just purchase a block of time and we’ll chip away at your website to-do list until the time has been used up.
Hands-on WordPress Development Frequently Asked Questions
Will you always be available? How do I know you wont disappear like the last guy?
To be frank, that’s not our style. This is our business, it’s not a side-gig. We take it as seriously as you take your business. Plus, we’ve got form .. just look at some of our past clients.
But let’s get real, we are fallible. Having worked on hundreds of WordPress projects we can count on one hand the number of projects that have gone south. But we can also say that in each and every case when the relationship didn’t work out we handed over the project to someone else and made every effort to keep the transition as smooth as possible. We’ve never gone fishin’ and have always been there for our clients. Radio silence isn’t in our vocabulary.
How long does this time remain on my account? Does it rollover from month to month?
Any unused time will rollover to the next month so that we can continue to work on your website.
Previous developers have made me wait and wait and wait. How are you different?
We do something a little different to some freelance WordPress developers; we schedule work into a calendar!
Honestly, its that simple. We’re neither a code-ninja nor a growth-hacker, we just plan our time and deliver quality work to deadline.
Is this just for large pieces of work?
Our three maintenance plans cover all gamuts of work, larger pieces of work would suit the larger Partner Plan, but we’ll always work with you to identify the most suitable WordPress maintenance plan based on your business goals.
How many tasks can be completed in an hour/day?
We can’t really put a number on it. Each development tasks is unique and each will take a unique amount of time. With each task (or task list) we will always give an upfront estimate as to when we can produce the work so you can manage your deliverables.
What login information will you need to get started?
Once the contracts are signed and sealed, we would need access to your server. Typically gaining access via sFTP login details and/or CPanel login details.
Can you start today?
Not usually no! Because we schedule work in there can sometimes be a short lead-time before we’re able to start tackling your projects. Lead times are normally a few weeks so it’s best to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
Do you work evenings and weekends like some freelance WordPress developers?
No. We keep regular office hours Monday to Friday. We have a few family holidays each year and don’t work over Christmas.
How will I know you’re working on my tasks?
Scheduling is not our only secret weapon, we also rely on Basecamp too! Basecamp is a project management tool through which we provide frequent communication and total transparency on the tasks being worked upon. When we work together there should never be a time where you’re thinking, I wonder what WPbees is up to today? .. unless we’re on holiday, in which case the answer is most probably “arguing with the kids and sipping piña coladas”.
Our site must be responsive and work on mobiles, is that a problem?
We’ve been working with responsive websites for over seven years. Every site we work on these days is optimised for viewing on many different devices including phones and tablets.
Will the work you do be search engine optimised?
Wherever possible the sites we work on will be tweaked and optimised to improve their performances within the major search engines. We can arrange introductions to specialist freelance Search Engine Optimisers if you need something more.
Will you work with our existing code? Are you happy taking over a project?
Absolutely. Sure, we prefer to roll our own, but we frequently work and extend existing custom code and third-party plugins.
Who will own the site (code) once you’ve finished working?
That would be you. If we’re taking over a project then the code would already be yours, whilst if we’re creating some new functionality from scratch, once the bills are settled and the project is complete, you would retain full ownership.
”Chris provides the most up to date expertise and development skills rarely found these days in most so called "web designers". Chris is far more than that as he actually takes the time to listen to you and understand your business model. Once he fully understands where you currently are and where you need to be, he will then offer development ideas which go way beyond the "normal"
That is what sets Chris apart. As an entrepreneur, you need someone who is efficient; get’s it and then gets on with it! Chris does that.
We look forward to working with Chris in the future on other projects we are currently developing as he has proven himself time and time again as the man who confidently says "Yes" we can do that!
Chris has created the most advanced web site for us in the back end (yet beautifully simple for our future prospects and customers in the front end) that is why we would have no hesitation in recommending Chris for any web development work you may be considering.Darren PageHeadsets4Business
